About this position

The Production Engineer - Plating is responsible for supervising manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work in a safe and efficient manner, and optimizing machine performance in collaboration with production and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner.
• Keeping abreast of advancements in engineering and production, and sharing knowledge with co-workers.
• Ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of the EN Plating process by conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting issues, and making necessary repairs.
• Collaborate with the production team & engineering team to optimize machine performance and minimize the downtime, ensuring that production targets are met.
• Liaising with other engineers to develop plans that improve production, costs, and labor required.
• Identifying, documenting, and reporting unsafe practices.
• Keeping abreast of advancements in engineering and production, and sharing knowledge with co-workers.
• Diagnosing problems in the production line and providing recommendations and training.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma certification in electrical, chemist or mechanical.
