Design Engineer
About this position
Responsibilities
• Conduct site survey to evaluate solar potential, shading, and space availability.
• Design efficient and cost-effective solar energy systems, including PV design drawing, electrical drawing, PV production analysis, and cost estimation.
• Perform energy yield calculations and financial analysis to determine project feasibility.
• Collaborate with sales executives and other professionals to achieve customers’ requirements.
• Advise sales executives or customers of technical information about solar systems design projects.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in solar energy or a related field.
• Familiarity with design software such as PVsyst and AutoCad and general office software.
• Ability to perform detailed energy yield calculations and financial analysis.
• Strong skills in managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Good communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
• Knowledge of local and international solar energy standards and regulations.
• Good command of English (verbal and written).
• Willing to travel to customers’ location.
