About this position

An Operations Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the Company operates within legal and regulatory guidelines. This role will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating compliance risks, developing and implementing compliance plans, and collaborating with various departments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Additionally, the position will support the business development team, primarily focused on customer support.

Responsibilities

Compliance Tasks (80%)
• Regulatory Monitoring: Stay updated on relevant industry regulations, laws, and standards, including but not limited to safety, environmental, and financial regulations.
• Compliance Audits: Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as external regulations.
• Risk Assessment: Identify potential compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize exposure.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities, including audit reports, incident reports, and corrective action plans.
• Incident Reporting: Investigate and report compliance incidents, accidents, or near-miss events, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
• Policy and Procedure Development: Contribute to the development and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions for employees on compliance topics, including safety, environmental, and ethical standards.
• Compliance Reporting: Prepare and submit compliance reports to relevant regulatory authorities, as required.

Business Development Support (20%)
• Customer Support: Provide timely and effective support to customers, addressing their inquiries and concerns.
• Documentation Review: Review and ensure compliance of customer contracts, proposals, and other relevant documents.
• Building Relationships with Stakeholders: Maintain effective communication and collaboration with key stakeholders, such as legal counsel, auditors, and regulators.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in law or a related field.
• Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven at least 5 years’ experience in compliance roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fluency in English and Thai.
