Oversea Purchasing Officer
About this position
Responsibilities
• Researching and identifying potential overseas suppliers to expand our procurement network
• Negotiating with suppliers to secure the best prices, terms and delivery schedules for materials and products
• Process documents related to purchasing activities
• Monitoring supplier performance and quality to maintain high standards
• Collaborating with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and priorities
• Continuously exploring new sourcing opportunities to drive cost savings and improve profitability
• Providing regular updates and reporting on purchasing activities and performance
Requirements
• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in overseas purchasing or procurement
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to interact effectively with international suppliers
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to navigate complex supply chain challenges
• Proficient in English and the local language, with the ability to understand and interpret contracts and documents
• Familiarity with import/export regulations, customs requirements and logistics processes
• Adaptable and proactive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
