About this position

The Direct Purchasing Engineer is responsible for identifying and developing local suppliers to meet quality and engineering requirements while ensuring competitive costs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for identifying and developing potential local suppliers to meet quality and engineering requirements with competitive costs.
• Participate in localization price negotiations, benchmarking, negotiation processes, and lead the supplier selection process.
• Take charge of annual cost reduction negotiations and annual localization actions.
• Handle contract drafting, release, and subsequent management.
• Complete other tasks assigned by leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial manufacturing or relevant fields.
• More than 5 years working experience of production purchasing position in automotive industry (OEM is prefer).
• Requires a higher level of innovation and teamwork.
• Strong communication awareness and proactive attitude.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with SAP system is preferred.
• Proficient in English; Chinese speaking ability is preferred.
