About this position

Electrolux Group is a leading global appliance company seeking a Senior DM-Direct Material Buyer to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers while managing cost analysis and supplier performance.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, evaluates and selects suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing and reliability of supply.
• Operates with independency and support actively other team members.
• Responsible for cost analysis of sourced products: based on detailed knowledge of our products and industry, Establish a costing structure for quotations, analyze and compare material, labor and overhead cost in support of the sourcing team.
• Structure and manage relationships with local and oversea suppliers.
• Manage and interact with internal counter parts and Global base (Purchasing, Quality, Supply chain, R&D and Finance organizations).
• Support to implement 18 months purchasing plan incorporating cost down activities, re-negotiations, or cost reduction proposals.
• Perform variance and cost breakdown analysis.
• Track and improve supplier performance regarding cost, quality, and delivery.
• Resolve commercial and capacity issues at suppliers.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and meet cost reduction targets.
• Support department ISO activities.
• Review Purchasing Monthly report.

Requirements

• University Degree.
• At least 5-6 years of working experience in Procurement, preferably part of it in a Manufacturing environment. Experience from the appliances business is preferred.
• Negotiation and Supplier Management Experience.
• Product knowledge in Washing Machine, Refrigerator and Cooktop.
• Knowledge in Plastics, Steel, Injection, Stamping and Packaging materials.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrate good sourcing skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Good English communication.
• Chinese language is a big plus.
