Purchasing Supplier Development Engineer
About this position
The Purchasing Supplier Development Engineer at Electrolux Group is responsible for driving and assisting strategic suppliers to improve their performance in process efficiency, organizational setup, and quality in a global environment.
Responsibilities
In detail, you will:
• Develop a collaborative relationship with key peers (Purchasing, Quality, Operations and R&D and other relevant stakeholders)
• Closely cooperate with Purchasing in developing and keeping a strong relationship with suppliers
• Plan, organize and drive the supplier development activities on running business
• Participation to Lean assessment to evaluate together with the team opportunities for improvement
• Participation in screening meeting, to define areas for improvement
• Use supplier development tools like, Lean assessment, Process mapping, Value Stream mapping, etc. to identify improvement areas
• Check data availability and consistency
• Define together with Electrolux management and suppliers’ improvements areas (KPI and targets) and priorities
• Evaluation, together with the team, if support functions needed for special topics and ensure their participation
• Monitor the follow-up action plan, constant check of the data consistency and proper project execution and timing
• Escalate blocking points affecting priorities achievement
• Check of compliance to the compulsory documents (nomination form, commitment letter and benefit sharing agreement) and Electrolux procedures
• Take active part in the Supplier Early Involvement initiatives on new projects by contributing actively in cross-functional meetings and providing proper insight concerning design, process, automation opportunity, packaging standardization and optimization of logistic flow, in alignment with the team.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Degree in Industrial Engineering preferred or any other technical degree
• Purchasing experience is considered as a plus.
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of work experience in Manufacturing, Quality or Purchasing from a multinational environment, as well as in adjacent disciplines like Logistics, Supply Chain are welcomed
• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Tools and Techniques (VSM, TPM, OEE, 5S, SMED, line balancing, wastes elimination)
