Model Shop Technical Leader
About this position
Responsibilities
• Lead team and prepare lab activities related to Model shop
• Area of Responsibility: Component/Product Prototypes, Protos, RFID and PID management, Technology & Labs facilities, and Jig and Fixture
• Feedback the test results and preliminary analysis of prototype
• Actively participate in the development of new projects
• Safety improvement in working area
• Solve a range of straightforward to complex problems
• Broaden competence in own area to acquire higher level skills
• Receive moderate guidance and direction in own area of knowledge
• Prioritize and organize own work to deliver to agreed deadlines
• Apply knowledge/skills to a variety of standard day to day activities
• Identify and solve problems in straightforward situations; generates possible solutions, analyze each using standard procedures.
• Build productive relationships within and outside of own team
• Support Cost reduction and Quality improvement activities
• Coordinate with Global laboratory for equipment, technology and competence
• Precision in project targets achievement (product development and timing)
• Provide improvement and innovation proposals
• Work autonomously, following established procedures and guidelines to contribute to improvement
• Contribute actively in team activities, sharing experience and ideas
• Document control according to ISO9001, ISO45001, and ISO 14001.
• Coach team to solve the problems with strategic thinking together with sense of urgency
• Model Shop facilities and equipment’s control
• Model Shop capabilities and improvement planning
• Coordinate with Global laboratory for equipment, test procedures, test manual, capability, and competence
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent through acquired technical knowledge
• 3-7 years’ experience in CAD 3D/2D, CAM, Prototyping, CNC operation, Metal, Molding, Foaming
• Experience in Mechanical component, design and assembly
• Creative & Proactive
• Open-minded
• Team oriented
• Willing to travel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders across functions
• Good English communication
