About this position

As Category Manager in Logistics, you will define and manage the sourcing activities of Logistics solutions for AP and MEA, collaborating closely with Operation, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to ensure best-in-class service levels at competitive costs.

Responsibilities

In detail, you will:
• Develop and implement the best Sourcing Strategies for Logistic.
• Main focus area is Inbound Logistic such as Inbound Logistics services including Transportation, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), and Returnable Packaging, ensuring proper execution and compliance.
• Manage other areas in Logistics, such as Primary transportation, Warehousing, Distribution.
• Accountability on supplier cost performance & service level.
• Enhance and further develop commercial relationship with key suppliers as to establish long term cooperation contracts.
• Develop a collaborative relationship with key peers fostering standardization of the APMEA contractual setup.
• Supplier Relationship Management: ensure proper governance in place by holding a strong commercial relationship with suppliers & stakeholders.
• Search alternative and innovative logistics solutions to improve efficiency, promote sustainability and customer satisfaction.
• Drive and promote continuous improvement actions by leading activities among the team, stakeholders, and suppliers.
• Plan, organize and drive the best sourcing activities and tenders.
• Accountability on supplier cost performance & service level.
• Manage KPI’s and ensure compliance to contracted terms both internally & externally.
• Provide market insight and relevant information to the organization.
• Actively contribute in meetings, projects, and events to streamline and improve the APMEA logistics network.
• Logistic reports / Budget

Requirements

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Administration or Economics.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in Purchasing or Supply chain.
• Relevant experience in transport, logistics & supply chain activities.
• Proven experience in leading people.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment/ Regional experience.
• Negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent English written and spoken.
