About this position

The Structure Lead & Deputy Director will be responsible for managing the Structure team for the design production of bridges and ports, and assisting the EDCT Director in overall management duties including commercial development, production delivery, quality control, invoicing, recruitment, and training.

Responsibilities

• Project Management
• Appoint and manage Project managers to deliver the design production of the Structure projects in terms of quality, schedule and budget.
• Prepare or review structural analysis and detailed design for various types of bridges, viaducts, ports and other civil structures
• Identify creative and innovative engineering solutions based on client, project and site constraints and specification
• Attend meetings, prepare /distribute meeting minutes
• Be familiar and comply with the company’s Safety Policy and Quality Management System

• Recruitment and competencies development
• Ensure that all employees have a competency management plan which will focus on continuously developing their skills
• Ensure coordination with the Services Lines technical departments for the matters related to: Recruitment of experts/ Competency management plan/ Development of tools and methods/ promote capitalization & good practices.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineering staff

• Commercial
• Provide technical and commercial design offers (bids) to any Egis entity of the BL Transportation requesting their services, for the design domains for which EDCT is appointed for
• Manage the relationship with the client and other stakeholders

The scope of Works covers, but is not limited to:
• Bridge and viaduct structures (substructures and superstructures)
• Elevated station structures (substructures and superstructures)
• Port structures
• Trackwork
• Other civil structures

As a Design Center Deputy Director he/she will have the following duties,
• Assist EDCT Deputy Director in its duties:
• Participate to the elaboration of the strategy of the Design Center and the recruitment plan
• Coordination with the SL Technical Departments
• Coordinate with HR, IT and Finance teams
• Leading of the Operation Committee

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
• Extensive experience in design activities related to bridges and structures
• Appetency for bridge and structural design.
