Operations Manager (Laboratory)
About this position
Daily operations management of the Technical Services team while embodying a service-oriented mindset. Accountable for maintaining the efficiency and integrity of service level of the genotyping laboratory and its output. Report directly to the Group Head of Technical Services.
Responsibilities
• Drives and motivates team to complete their work effectively under pressure
• Anticipates seasonal workloads and allocates resources in advance to meet demands
• Continuously monitors and evaluates laboratory sample and report processing times
• Creates visibility of service level and output via the use of digital media
• Manages queries from stakeholders in research and seed production with a balanced and effective communication style
• Identifies opportunities for process improvements and their implementation
• Ensures quality control of laboratory process, data analysis and genotyping results reporting
• Seeks opportunities to develop relationships with key stakeholders
• Ad-hoc projects or company events as assigned
Requirements
• Masters or PhD degree in a life sciences discipline (e.g. genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology).
• >5 years experience managing a laboratory team performing routine testing services.
• Fluency in English and Thai.
