Manufacturing Supervisor
About this position
The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production processes, ensuring adherence to company standards, and managing workflow and scheduling within the manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
• Well understand and follow Eagle Ottawa’s procedures, standards, work instructions.
• Responsible to write relevant working instruction and verbal directions.
• Responsible to notify supervisor immediately of any action to stop/hold a process or document.
• Determines workflow and scheduling.
• Implements operational policies and procedures.
• Maintain capable production standards.
• Supervise material usage.
• Process and forward all required paperwork.
• Maintain inventory via computer system.
• Schedule production for each workstation in respective cell.
• Responsibility to respond to cutting operation’s requests.
• Responsibility to develop a clear understanding of cutting operation’s needs.
• Responsibility for requirements as directed in Eagle Ottawa Thailand’s Environmental Management System.
• Direct production employees to follow established job procedures and disciplines.
• Track and Report all Overtime and Downtime.
• Control department cost and efficiency.
• Maintain housekeeping and shop floor organization layout.
• Monitor all production processes and control charts.
• Perform other job assignments as specified by manager.
• Assess employee’s skills and training requirements.
• Responsible for ISO 14001 requirements as directed in Eagle Ottawa Thailand Management System.
• Ensure product quality.
• Enforce company policies and plant rules.
• Maintain safety standards and training.
• Preparation of workstation (i.e) necessary tooling and material available at station for processing.
• Keep assigned production area clean and organized.
• Other duties as assigned by Production Manager - Cutting.
Requirements
• Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineer or related field.
• At least 5 years manufacturing supervision with an automotive supplier.
• Working experience in automotive interior or leather company is a strong plus.
• Proven tracking records of supervising shop – floor operations.
• Pass internal color test.
