Senior Legal Manager

About this position

To oversee and manage all legal aspects of hotel development, investment, and operations, focusing on areas including but not limited to IT, Sales & Marketing, Investment, New Business, and the Company Secretary Office. This role specializes in commercial agreements, corporate documentation, and various laws pertinent to the hotel industry, including commercial, corporate, hotel, property, merger and acquisition, and intellectual property laws.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct basic legal and tax research related to projects in the Maldives, Asia (excluding ASEAN), EU Countries, USA, and Australia.
• Draft and revise critical documents such as NDAs, LOIs, MOUs, Joint Venture Agreements, Hotel Management Agreements, Technical Service Agreements, and more.
• Coordinate with international and local law firms for legal consultancy services.
• Provide legal support for drafting and revising agreements and participating in transactions to support the hotel business and back office, including operations, IT, sales and marketing, and other ad hoc tasks.
• Manage Power of Attorney documents for Dusit’s executives and ensure compliance with company policy.
• Offer support for all corporate levels with necessary Power of Attorney documents.
• Offer legal opinions and support to group companies for hotel business operations and related matters.
• Manage all legal aspects of hotel management projects across specified regions.
• Oversee authorisation guidelines and policies.
• Handle corporate matters for both international and domestic entities.
• Develop legal systems and manage documentations.
• Address all legal matters related to hotel operations, including Sales & Marketing, IT, PR, Revenue, etc.
• Support investment projects and trademark registration efforts.

Requirements

• A degree from a reputable law institution (LLB, LLM, or equivalent).
• At least 10 years of legal experience, preferably in the real estate or hotel industry.
• Deep knowledge of property and real estate laws and regulations.
• Excellent skills in drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documents.
• Ability to apply legal knowledge effectively in a business context.
• Fluent in Thai and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
