About this position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced MEP Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team. The MEP Engineering Manager will be crucial in overseeing the design, implementation, and quality control of MEP systems for our prestigious projects.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
• Review, comment on, and revise MEP drawings and specifications to ensure alignment with the approved concept.
• Identify and address any impracticalities, construction difficulties, or discrepancies in the design.
• Combine construction drawings with Structural, Architectural, ID, Landscape, Lighting, and Façade drawings to ensure consistency and avoid clashes.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess workmanship and compliance with approved standards.
• Develop construction detail options to solve unforeseen on-site problems, considering cost, quality, and timeline.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings and the approved design, and any clashes from combined drawings.
• Manage the MEP design schedule to align with the target schedule.
• Coordinate with the Project Director, designers, Project Manager, Construction Manager, and contractors to ensure timely and high-quality completion of interior design work.
• Initiate material sourcing for Value Engineering (VE) initiatives.
• Identify suitable suppliers that meet design, project requirements, and budget constraints.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in MEP engineering, with a focus on construction drawing and site inspection in Hospitality & High-End to Luxury residential projects (low-rise & high-rise buildings).
• Proficiency in MEP design software (AutoCAD MEP, Revit, or similar) and familiarity with BIM workflows.
• Strong knowledge of MEP system designs, construction methods, industry standards, and building codes.
• Experience with building permit processes.
• Excellent observation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication, collaboration, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Creative thinking and innovative problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and stay organized under pressure.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
