About this position

Dusit International, a leading name in hospitality and real estate development, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager : Cost Controller (QS) to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation & Financial Planning: Lead the preparation of preliminary cost estimates for diverse real estate projects, collaborate with the financial team for insightful analysis, and meticulously evaluate administrative expenses.
• Cashflow & Budget Management: Develop and implement robust cashflow management plans, provide expert cost guidance during the design phase, and employ value engineering techniques to optimize costs.
• Tender & Procurement Management: Oversee the preparation of Bills of Quantities, manage the tender process with precision, source and evaluate contractors and suppliers, and expertly manage bidding packages and timelines.
• Contract Management: Partner with the legal team for contract drafting and review, ensure contracts are legally sound and binding, and manage contract variations effectively.
• Payment Verification: Diligently verify payment claims from contractors and suppliers, ensuring they comply with contractual terms and design drawings.
• Budget Control: Proactively manage and monitor the construction budget, implementing measures to ensure it stays within approved limits throughout the project lifecycle.
Overall Goal: Steer projects towards successful completion, ensuring they are delivered within budget and on time by expertly managing costs, contracts, and procurement processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in quantity surveying, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Proven track record of successfully managing costs and delivering projects within budget and on time
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost-control techniques
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools
