About this position

The Short-Term Technical Assistance (STA) Panel for Transport aims to provide technical and specialist services to support KIAT’s infrastructure partners in Indonesia, focusing on sustainable and inclusive economic growth through improved access to infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and specialist services to support KIAT’s infrastructure partners in a responsive and timely manner.
• Apply outstanding technical knowledge to complex transport challenges in Indonesia.
• Ensure high quality performance of supported activities.
• Provide KIAT access to a range of pre-qualified specialists to undertake technical assistance work as the need arises.
• Engage successful applicants on the Panel via an umbrella agreement (Deed of Standing Offer) and issue Service Orders as bodies of work are identified.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in the transport (roads, urban transport and railways) or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the transport (roads, urban transport and railways) sector.
• Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of technical advisory projects in the transport sector, relevant to Indonesia’s infrastructure priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (with Bahasa Indonesia desirable) and demonstrated experience in briefing and working closely with senior government officials in a donor context.
• Knowledge and understanding of the different needs of different stakeholders such as women, the elderly, people with disabilities and others with special mobility needs, and the ability to communicate with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
