Sr. Utility Technician

About this position

The position is responsible for maintaining site equipment and facilities in good working order based on the individual's field of expertise (Mechanical, Automation, Instrumentation, Electricity, Utilities operations) and job function. This function will be reporting to the Automation & Utility Manager and will be based in Karawang.

Responsibilities

• Follows and implement Health, Safety & Environment policies/procedures, Food safety and Quality, including GMP if applicable.
• Completes all documentation as required and all job tasks in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Mentors junior technicians in the same field of expertise.
• Ensures that housekeeping standards are maintained while job tasks are being performed.
• Anticipates issues within field of expertise and work with Management to implement preventative measures.
• Communicates effectively with Site Management concerning task status and timing.
• Works with suppliers to identify and source materials/ equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoots as necessary within field of expertise.
• Maintain, install and troubleshoot utility systems comprised of boiler, compressor, genset, chiller, electric panel, water treatment, HVAC, piping systems, valves, and other utility systems.
• Monitor, repair, maintain and document all field utility equipment including plant safety systems and plant power systems.
• Monitor equipment condition using vibration analysis equipment.
• Ensure that all equipments are safely released and all documents are in order prior to starting work.
• Maintain work log and ensure transfer of information to relieving shift Maintain proper housekeeping in compliance with safety and plant procedures.
• Update equipment history log.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years preferred for the employee to have experience in a manufacturing environment with strong emphasis placed on a proven record of knowledge within field of expertise.
