R&D Assistant Manager
About this position
The R&D Assistant Manager is responsible for implementing research programs aligned with Dole’s objectives, developing product specifications, conducting tests, and ensuring compliance with regulations while promoting cost reduction and maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities
• Implements research programs in accordance with Dole’s overall objectives and business strategies
• Develops new product formulation, Finished Product specification, Marketing Specification, Raw Material Specification
• Develops and implements new test procedures for new product and new raw materials.
• Initiates change requests on Finished Product Specifications, Formula Specification, Marketing Specification, and Raw Material Specification
• Conducts technological transfer from the PDI laboratory scale to commercial scale through project management program of Speed to Market team and participates in new product commercial production trial run with Speed to the Market team
• Plans and conducts shelf-life tests for new products
• Records the results of all tests and analysis, prepares and submits reports as directed
• Maintains up-to-date awareness of external research and development facilities and resources
• Ensures compliance with relevant government regulations
• Assigns subordinate level in the organizational chart to be deputy to handle his/her duties and responsibilities in case of absence
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the office, laboratory and facilities
• Promotes cost reduction and established controls
• Comply with procedure and requirements of Environmental ISO 14001 and quality system FSSC 22000 and other standard mandatory require to be used of the organization and participates actively as needed
• Report problem with regards to the Food Safety Management System to Superior
• BOM
• Purchasing Request
• Material Request
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Participates actively in the Company’s Continuous Improvement Programs included WCM program
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science & Technology or related fields
• 5 years’ work experience in the Food Manufacturing Industry
• English proficiency
