About this position
The Retail Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, ensuring operational excellence, enhancing customer experience, providing strategic leadership, developing teams, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with company standards.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities Sales and Commercial Strategy:
• Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve commercial objectives across the district.
• Collaborate with store managers to identify sales opportunities, set targets, and monitor progress.
• Analyze market trends and customer needs to tailor commercial strategies that enhance competitiveness and profitability. Leverage knowledge of the Retail industry to inform product offerings and promotional activities.
Operational Excellence:
• Ensure all stores operate efficiently and effectively, adhering to company standards and policies.
• Promote transparency in all operations, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
• Optimize resources, including inventory management, staffing, and budget control. Ensure effective management of hardware-specific logistics and inventory.
Customer Experience:
• Ensure high standards of customer service and engagement across all store locations in the district.
• Address and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
• Utilize industry knowledge to enhance customer service related to hardware sales.
Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and execute district-wide strategies to drive growth and profitability across all store locations.
• Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and enhance overall store performance. Incorporate furniture industry trends and insights into strategic planning.
Team Development:
• Build, lead, and develop agile and adaptable teams across the district.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to store managers and their teams to enhance skills and career growth.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Train teams on furniture-specific knowledge and customer interaction.
Performance Monitoring:
• Track and analyze performance metrics of each store, identifying areas for improvement.
• Implement action plans to address performance gaps and achieve business targets.
Compliance and Standards:
• Ensure all stores comply with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment in all stores.
Requirements
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a District Manager, Area Manager, or similar role in Retail Industry is a strong plus.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in data analysis and decision-making.
• Experience in developing and implementing sales and commercial strategies.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
