About this position

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented AVP Commercial strategy that will oversee and manage all aspects of our sales strategy and commission processes. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of sales structures and compensation plans.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end process of commission calculations, ensuring accuracy and timely payments to the sales team.
• Develop and maintain commission structures and compensation plans, ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry standards.
• Work with sales leadership to design and update commission plans based on performance metrics, product changes, and business goals.
• Monitor sales performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Generate reports on sales performance and commission payouts, ensuring transparency and consistency across the team.
• Collaborate with the sales team to set performance targets and track progress against goals.
• Analyze sales data and commission reports, ensuring accuracy and flagging any discrepancies.
• Provide regular reports to management, offering insights into sales trends, commission payments, and overall sales performance.
• Implement and manage sales forecasting tools to predict future sales trends and commissions.
• Work closely with the sales team to answer questions about commission structures, payouts, and performance metrics.
• Provide ongoing support to ensure the sales team is motivated and incentivized according to performance.
• Help resolve disputes or concerns regarding commission calculations.
• Continuously evaluate and improve commission processes, aiming to streamline operations and enhance experience for the sales team.
• Stay up to date with industry’s best practices and trends in sales compensation to ensure competitiveness and fairness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in sales management, commission management, Sales strategy or a similar role (at least 2-5 years preferred).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large sets of data.
• Knowledge of commission management software (e.g. Salesforce).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with multiple stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to address and resolve complex issues.
