Manager, Technical Sales - Food & Beverage Industry (FBI)
About this position
Manage and monitor sales to achieve technical sales targets for assigned businesses/territories and overall business objectives.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for business developments for processed food segment all over Indonesia.
• Market and trend analysis in processed food segment. Based on market analysis identify ingredients and find ingredients, coordinate with business development manager FBI to find new ingredients.
• Coordinate with other colleagues in FBI, to guide them in positioning products in our portfolio as well as new added time to time.
• Closely follow with other colleagues about new developments and report to BLM FBI on monthly basis for developments in designated industry cluster.
• Ensure new business developments targets are achieved in designated Industry cluster.
• Send timely reports to BLM above mention responsibilities.
• Coordinate with assigned new suppliers and support other colleagues with information from those suppliers.
• Co-ordinating and organizing supplier visits and conducting trials.
• Extend support in existing sales activities whenever requested by respective sales executive or BLM.
• To undergo technical trainings in both Indonesia and overseas to support the FBI customers with technical knowledge and product application.
• New responsibilities may be assigned from time to time by the Local Business Line Manager FBI based on industry clusters or product groups and development of other regions.
• Current responsibilities are given looking towards long term personal as well organizational developments and might change in future based on your performance and organizational requirements.
Requirements
• Minimum three to five years’ experience in a similar role.
• Minimum two to three years’ experience in a managerial capacity.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of the industry/market/competitors/customers.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge and a proven sales track record in assigned products/services/systems and an existing network of contacts.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge of regulatory requirements of products within assigned territories, including handling procedures, shelf life, storage, etc.
• Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrate advanced research and analytical skills.
• Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
• Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Degree in Food Technology or science.
