Sourcing Manager
About this position
Responsibilities
• Provides professional sourcing support for key business initiatives, supply market research / intelligence to support business decisions in investments and budgets and establishment of local or sub-regional frame contracts.
• Identification of strategic sourcing opportunities and development and management of strategic suppliers is a key.
• Integrated Procurement services at sub-regional / country level for the business colleagues (divisions) are in scope.
• Achieving greatest value contribution, benefit realization and efficiency from all procurement activities and ensuring customer satisfaction by meeting their demands in terms of quality, price and service.
• Specializes in strategic sourcing of goods and services and transportation capacities in order to reduce costs and ensure quality and supply as needed by the business / function in scope.
• Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of local: - markets / category trends - suppliers / key local players.
• Implement local category strategies leveraging on regional and global strategies.
• Ensure country/ sub-region requirements and issues are addressed in corporate / regional strategies.
• Prepare and lead supplier negotiations at local level.
• Prepare, conduct and lead tenders (incl. e-sourcing).
• Effectively implement local / sub-regional contracts.
• Ensure (sourcing, purchasing, company) policy adherence of local divisional colleague.
• Supplier management: - database maintenance - supplier classification - new sources identification.
• Track and maintain accurate data in the Procurement tools: - suppliers, rates, contracts - spend, projects, master data.
• Contribute to the cooperation between countries and sourcing.
Requirements
• Bachelor Degree or Higher in any field.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience preferably in Procurement environment in National/multinational companies preferred in manufacturer, engineering firms or Logistic companies with matrix/ complex structure.
• Good command of English (Both of Written & Spoken).
• Understanding of and working experience with procurement practices and procedures and commercial law, preferably category specific.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Strong in analytic skill, negotiation skill and inter-personal skill.
• Experience and able to use various E procurement software/platform, E bidding, Contract database etc.
