Automation Engineer (maintenance)
About this position
Responsibilities
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on industrial robots according to manufacturer specifications and maintenance schedules. Inspect, clean, and lubricate robot components to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with robotic systems, including mechanical, electrical, and programming problems. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Repair or replace defective robot components, including motors, sensors, actuators, controllers, and cables. Perform calibration and alignment procedures to restore proper functionality and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in the maintenance and operation of robotic systems. Implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks to personnel and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history. Document equipment modifications, upgrades, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and reorder components as needed to support maintenance activities. Coordinate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure timely availability of critical parts and supplies.
• Provide training and technical support to production operators and maintenance personnel on the operation and maintenance of robotic systems. Share knowledge and best practices to enhance team capabilities and effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization in robot maintenance and operation. Implement best practices, tools, and technologies to increase efficiency, reliability, and uptime.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in automation engineering or equivalent
• Over 3 years of relevant experience in an engineering role
• Proven experience in industrial robot maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of robotic systems, including mechanical, electrical, and programming aspects.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
• Experience with robotic programming languages (e.g., Nachi, Fanuc) is a plus.
• Experience with PLC, HMI programming languages (e.g., Mitsubishi, SIEMENS) is a plus.
• Intermediate Level in English – Required excellent communication skills.
