Deputy Accounting Director
About this position
The Deputy Accounting Director is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing financial insights to support management decision-making. This role requires strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of tax regulations.
Responsibilities
• Double Taxation Agreements (DTAs) Management
• Analyze and apply DTAs across various jurisdictions, including the USA and Europe, to reduce double taxation risks.
• Develop and implement strategies that optimize tax outcomes in compliance with international tax laws.
• SEC and SET Compliance
• Implement and maintain compliance with SEC regulations, and monitor updates to regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and submit required reports to the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) within designated deadlines, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Financial Consolidation and Reporting
• Oversee the consolidation of financial statements for subsidiary companies across the USA, Europe, and Singapore.
• Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in compliance with local and international accounting standards, offering financial insights to support management decision-making.
• Team Leadership and Development
• Supervise and mentor accounting teams across multiple locations, fostering a collaborative environment and aligning departmental objectives with organizational goals.
• Guide and support the team in achieving accurate and efficient financial operations across subsidiaries.
• Accounting Operations and Compliance
• Manage daily accounting operations for subsidiaries across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local tax and accounting regulations.
• Collaborate with auditors to facilitate the audit process and address audit requirements, while overseeing tax filings and regulatory compliance.
• Project Costing and Financial Analysis
• Conduct cost analysis and control project expenses, providing insights and recommendations to maintain cost efficiency.
• Apply problem-solving skills to resolve complex financial challenges, ensuring financial objectives align with the company’s strategic goals.
• Industry and Regulatory Monitoring
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring Dexon’s accounting practices are current and compliant.
Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
• Experience: Proven experience with listed companies, ideally 10+ years, including SEC and SET reporting.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in SAP and strong knowledge of PAEs/TFRS accounting standards.
• In-depth understanding of Double Taxation Agreements (DTAs) and their application to optimize tax structures.
• Strong knowledge of Inter-company Pricing.
• Strong financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting abilities.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and levels of the organization.
• Location: Must be willing to work in Banchang, Rayong.
