About this position

The Assistant Manager, Inventory Control is responsible for supervising and coordinating inventory management activities, ensuring accuracy in inventory records, and optimizing operational processes within the logistics department.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates the appropriate processing of inventory record, inventory requisitions applicable to items maintained.
• Monitor inventory levels and inventory movement using manual or SAP.
• Review compiled inventory reports (quantity, type and value of materials, and equipment and stock on hand).
• Supervises and coordinates during period of physical stock counting.
• Confer with other department management and staff to coordinate inventory management activities.
• Mentor inventory management staff.
• Work closely with project implementation team to ensure the smooth implementation of inventory process for new business and achieve all targets of the project.
• Ensures the realization of the physical accuracy are in line with the stock management system.
• Analyzes, carries out feasibility study and report on consumption of the problem solve are required.
• Manage Inventory team to operate their daily task smoothly.
• To ensure under the direction of the department business plan that the job holder successfully achieve the operational targets for all warehouse activities, co-ordination these activities across all departments where their input assists in the achievement of the targets.
• Within the framework of all warehouse functions and operational processes, Operations Manager is to ensure the smooth of operation and follow up and managing all shop floor activities.
• To ensure no. of resources, manpower and equipment to meet the operation requirement.
• The Operations Manager is a proactive, strategic thinker whose skills contribute to the efficient, systematic and profitable operation of the Company’s Logistics department.
• Optimize, implement and successfully manage production efficiency and quality standards.
• Manager the day-to-day activities of the operational process to assure that safety and best practices are maximized.
• Analyze and implement process flow improvements, to include capabilities for growth.
• Develop and oversee implementation and administration of department policies, systems, and procedures.
• Prepare operational analyses for the department.
• Support ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system.
• Prepares reports of inventory discrepancies, inventory balance, as required.
• Supervises and coordinates disbursement and delivery of goods and equipment.
• Verifies physical count of stock against with system and adjusted errors in the system.
• To contribute to cost reduction by keeping stock in good conditions and reduces the probabilities of dead stock.
• To ensure that all return to warehouse, returns to vendor and stock adjustment have been entered into the Warehouse Management System correctly and any errors found are rectified by the Operations manager.
• Ensure customer satisfaction thought service mind, prompt to response to customer query/problem, polite, and professional.
• Respect all safety procedure and regulation in warehousing area. And participate in safety.
• Maintain and follow company rules, regulations and Health, Safety and Environmental Standards.
