About this position

The Carbon Footprint / Sustainable Engineer Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to manage climate change within the organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives and sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strategic direction/objectives and roadmap for managing climate change within the group of companies that aligns with the organization's vision, context, and business strategy. This includes analyzing internal/external factors such as stakeholder expectations, market conditions, and business environmental trends, as well as trends in sustainable management at both national and international levels (Local/International Trends). Conduct Climate-Related Scenario Analysis, identifying opportunities and risks related to climate change, including Transition Risks and Physical Risks, to establish a framework for business plans and operational plans in various business lines of the CPF, both domestically and internationally, to align with the group's goals.
• Drive related units both domestically and internationally to develop master plans, business plans, and operational plans for managing climate change within the organization at the national level, in line with the climate change management strategy, including emissions and greenhouse gas capture for the CPF.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of operations according to master plans, business plans, and operational plans, prepare operation progress reports, analyze changes, propose improvement directions, and manage issues for senior management and various committees to establish corrective and preventive measures promptly and effectively.
• Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of climate change management are reviewed by the management and committees according to the governance structure, acting as the secretary of committees.
• Analyze results and feedback from assessments by various organizations such as DJSI, MSCI, ESG, FTSE4Good, etc., and consider strategic management directions in the climate change management strategy department of the CPF to continuously develop CPF operations.
• Study and monitor climate change trends and contexts, including global greenhouse gas emissions and capture, to apply them to the CPF and CP Group companies.
• Disseminate climate change-related work, including greenhouse gas emissions and capture by the CPF, publicly through various channels, such as sustainability reports, organizational websites, various sustainability assessments, and public forums.

Requirements

• Carbon Footprint Management: Proficient in developing and managing the carbon footprint of both the organization and its products.
• Sustainability Strategy Development: Proficient in devising sustainable strategies for organizations, encompassing both domestic and international contexts.
• Collaborative Networker: Experienced in collaborating with private sector networks and independent organizations, including the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Organization (TGO) and the Global Compact Network Thailand (GCNT).
• Standards and Practices: Skilled in establishing and implementing relevant sustainability standards and practices, such as the preparation of sustainability reports adhering to international frameworks like GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), UNGC (United Nations Global Compact), and UN SDGs (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals).
