Quality Management Engineer (Tire Uniformity Engineer)
About this position
Ensures TU/ TG/ TB Yield are achieve target. Provide the analysis and drive team for yield improvement. Ensures that new articles introduced are meeting targeted warehouse yield at SOP via optimizing yield at the Initial Specification development phase.
Responsibilities
• Provide qualified feedback about yields
• Provide qualified commitment about warehouse virgin yield at OE article which concern uniformity topics
• Provide qualified recommendations to optimize yield in order to meet desired virgin yield targets
• Implement recommendations to achieve desired virgin yield targets (TU, TG, TB)
• Part of the RN acceptance/Evaluation of the ETO or ISD before 3-4-1 release process in the plant or Take part in 341 (round table) meeting.
• Drive continuous improvement activities to maintain/improve TU/ TG/ TB yield targets
• Steer OE and Replacement yield improvement activities
• TU OE Customer Special Requirement Fulfill, TU Weak Points Improvement according CSR, Customer Audit (With OE Quality)
• Perform thorough statistical analysis, interpret data, optimize and coordinate the process via application of standard work procedures for yield management with a primary focus on OE TU virgin yield.
• Coordinate the Uniformity Team to work together with Quality Process and Product Teams and Process Engineering
• Part of approval of changes to existing Technology, Material, Equipment and Process, scheduling by providing input to impact on Yield performance
• To perform root cause analysis to remedy causes for low performing yield
• Initiate trials in the plant required to achieve TU virgin yield targets
• Compilation of know how yield optimization.
• Analyze, implement and track corrective/preventive actions with regards to Yield improvement
• Ensure that the know-how is shared between the plants
• Ensures progressive reduction in Plant Scrap 7 KPI
• Drives early warning system to manage for Scrap 7 at article level
• Quality Report and Information sharing with Supplier Chain (OP)
• Ensure implementation of measures and maintain controls
• Raise awareness and provide information about ESH responsibilities and duties
• Ensure immediate notification and response, and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazards
• Demonstrate exemplary personal behavior in ESH and motivate others
Requirements
• Bachelor degree of Engineering field or related fields.
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of experiences from Tire manufacturing or related business.
• Has knowledge of TU, Vector Separation, Knowledge of tire non-conformity root-causes
• Has knowledge of processes and tools (QDA, FFDACS, MCAT, WAMOS, Grading, PoMS, off standard catalog)
• Has knowledge of Quality management and structural problem solving tools knowledge (8D, 4S, FMEA, 5WHY, Fish Bone)
• Able to managing a diverse team (Terms of location, culture, function, age, gender etc.)
