PPE Engineer (Process Engineer Final Finish)
About this position
Responsibilities
• Convert product and manufacturing requirements into process specifications.
• Responsible to monitor, maintain and continuously improve the process performance with respect to process capability, efficiency and reduce scrap.
• Issue procedures and work instructions, ensure implementation of measures, and maintain controls.
• Raise awareness, ensure regular ESH training and provide information about ESH responsibilities and duties.
• Develop, define and set-up process parameters within boundary conditions to ensure that product specifications are met.
• Recipe Management: Inserting of recipes into equipment, maintaining and optimization of recipes, documenting of recipes.
• Creation of process related documentation, performance reports, book of requirements, guidelines, work-instructions, process specification.
• Drive continuous process improvement (efficiency, stability).
• Ensure productivity: implement processes that produce efficiently to the required output and to the specification.
• Ensure production quality: Implement and maintain processes that produce products to required quality objectives.
• Implementation of corrective actions to reduce scrap, rework / workoff and increase stability, efficiency and tire yield.
• Process risk assessment with continuous improvement.
• Initiate activities to ensure process performance on required level with respect to efficiency, stability, scrap level.
• Create process documentation, work instruction, training relevant material and train the trainer.
• Final process approval with respect to efficiency, stability and scrap level.
• Support product industrialization according plant and central release procedures and requirements.
• Support and take over responsibilities of process industrialization according plant and central release procedures and requirements.
• Implement and maintain capable, efficient and stable production processes that satisfy the Process Excellence objectives.
• Creation of KPI-reports as per defined frequency.
Requirements
• 5 years experience in Tire Manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years experience in Process Engineer or relevant area Mixing to Final Finishing or Automotive Industry Business.
• Project management knowledge.
• Strong knowledge in Product & Process Development methodology, procedures & practices.
• Knowledge of FMEA & Process Control, Problem Solving Techniques (e.g. FMEA, 5 Why, A3, Cause/Effect).
• Ideally had exposure to international projects or worked in a cross cultural environment.
• Good command in English.
