Accounting Officer
About this position
The Accounting Officer is responsible for managing payment requests, recording transactions, and ensuring compliance with financial processes and HSSE standards.
Responsibilities
• Create payment requests and get them approved by approvers as per the company’s approval matrix.
• Daily monitor and organize payment requests from all departments in DocuSign System.
• Record all supplier invoices, accrual transactions and transactions from bank statements to accounting system (Peak System).
• Download bank statements and process bank reconciliation on a weekly basis.
• Record accrual transaction for monthly closing.
• Prepare account reconciliation for account payable and related accounts on monthly basis.
• Prepare payment requests report and get approval on weekly basis.
• Coordinate supplier invoices and ensure payments on time.
• Prepare payment vouchers and withhold tax certificates.
• Prepare cheques, bank transfer transactions, and get approval from authorized persons.
• Distribute cheques and cash transfers to suppliers.
• Organize receipts, tax invoices and withholding tax certificates.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE standards: Follow all health, safety, security, and environmental policies during financial processes, such as when handling payments, organizing documents, or dealing with suppliers.
• Monitor HSSE performance: Make sure payment processes align with HSSE requirements to minimize risks related to safety, security, and the environment.
• Integrate HSSE into financial operations: Ensure that HSSE guidelines are applied when dealing with financial transactions, supplier coordination, and documentation handling.
Requirements
• Diploma in vocational or bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 1-3 years of experience in the accounting field.
• Well communicate with team and third-party such as supplier and bank.
• Well organized with ability to meet deadlines.
• High degree of attention to detail.
• Initiative, hardworking, energetic, and eager to learn new things.
• Able to communicate in English.
