About this position
Responsibilities
• Lead cross-functional continuous improvement activities to drive site C&S implementation, adhering to Colgate microbiology and quality standards.
• Develop and implement microbiological sampling and testing programs for water, raw materials, WIP, environmental samples, and finished products, following QS023.
• Review and report accurate micro test results for all materials.
• Ensure testing compliance with corporate methods, policies, and good microbiological practices.
• Ensures that the appropriate microbiological resources, processes and methods are available to implement the site C&S program. Hygienic program & micro-related environmental control program for plant. Support Cleaning & Sanitization of all equipment both making & finishing.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering to implement plant floor micro control programs, including Control Point Monitoring, Micro Susceptibility Index, and Process Validation.
• Train and develop laboratory staff and plant floor personnel in microbiology practices.
• Participate in internal and external audits, serving as part of the plant GMP and Quality team.
• Ensures that the interpretation of data is correct and results are effectively communicated to appropriate individuals, including management.
• Ensures that the appropriate microbiological resources, processes and methods are available to implement the site C&S program.
• Understand, follow up and execute actions to meet requirements related to GMP, ISO, Regulatory and TGA standard/PICs (as per TGA product), USFDA requirements.
• Ensure Change control process validation is performed to comply with Standard and documented properly.
• Participate in internal audits and external audits (contract manufacturers & labs, suppliers, etc.). Function as part of the plant GMP and Quality team.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial experience (Personal Care, Pharmaceutical, Food, Consumer Products) with exposure to plant floor micro control programs.
• At least 3 years of functional experience.
• Proficiency in computer skills, supervision, and GMP knowledge.
• Skills in developing and coaching staff.
• Knowledge in quality.
