About this position

Coforge is a leading global IT solutions organization seeking a Data Governance Consultant (Junior - Middle Level) to work onsite 80% in Laksi. The role involves developing and implementing data governance strategies, ensuring data quality, and promoting data governance awareness.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:
• Partner with the Data Governance Lead to develop and implement a data governance strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Analyze current data management practices and identify areas for improvement.
• Recommend and implement data governance tools and technologies.
• Develop and document data governance policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Assist in defining data ownership models and assigning data steward responsibilities.
• Develop and implement data quality standards and metrics.
• Collaborate with data stewards to improve data quality and consistency.
• Identify and address potential data quality and security risks.
• Work with IT teams to ensure data security and access controls are aligned with data governance principles.
• Develop and deliver training programs to educate users on data governance policies and procedures.
• Facilitate workshops and working groups to promote data governance awareness and adoption.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns throughout the implementation process.
• Monitor and report on the progress and effectiveness of the data governance program.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to the Data Governance Lead.
• Mentor and coach team members on data governance concepts and best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different departments.

Requirements

Required Skills include:
• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics.
• Overall 3-5 years in data field.
• With 2-3 years of experience as data governance, data analyst, data pipeline development or related.
