About this position

Xayaburi Power Company Limited (XPCL) is seeking a Civil Maintenance Engineer to maintain and repair all civil structures in the Xayaburi Hydroelectric Power Plant, ensuring safe and economical operations.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventive maintenance work order assigned
• Making repairs in areas of expertise and assisting other in making repairs to all equipment
• Assisting in installation of any new equipment as required and directed
• Assisting in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing hydro civil structure including Navigation lock, Fish passing, Intermediate Block, Permanent Camp, Powerhouse, Spill way, Workshop, Warehouse etc.
• Communicating effectively and accurately using both oral and written skills
• Assisting in performance of any operating activities directed by (Sr.) Manager - Civil Engineering & Service
• Writing up required materials and submitting for approval
• Taking actions necessary to prevent any failures
• Continually checking all phases of operation for difficulties or irregularities, troubleshooting as necessary
• Maintaining journals, logs, maintenance and equipment records and various reports
• Becoming familiar with plant operations
• Performing any duties in a safe and economical manner, taking reasonably care of the health and safety, avoiding unsafe shortcuts or fail to follow established procedures that might negatively impact on health, safety or the environment
• Being aware and playing a vital role considering the essential of environmental management in accordant with ISO 14001Quality Management in accordance with ISO 9001 and safety and Occupational health in accordance with ISO 45001.
• Other task following supervisor's assignment or company policy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree of Civil Engineer or equivalent or higher
• Minimum 1 year experience in Civil Maintenance or related
• Teamwork and Cross-boundary Collaboration, Accountability, Sharing and Developing Knowledge and Skills, Adaptability, Work Ethics
• Good Civil engineering both theory and practical.
• Blueprint and instruction manual reading
• Hydro Power Plant or similar Plant
• Good command in English and computer skills
