The firm is moving forward and growing its own retail brand to better serve its consumer groups, with the goal of becoming a public company in the future. CJ MORE is a unique iteration of the typical supermarket, providing a wide variety of products and services and consumer goods at reasonable prices. The company has expanded substantially over the last 18 years. There are now more than 1000 branches operational in over 42 provinces nationwide.

About this position

The Trade Marketing Analyst will collaborate with Commercial and Marketing teams to develop trade planning strategies and manage trade promotions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Commercial and Marketing teams to understand business objectives and develop trade planning strategies.
• Identify key product categories and customer segments for trade promotions.
• Create and implement a trade promotion calendar that aligns with sales and marketing goals.
• Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of trade promotions, making adjustments as needed.
• Develop trade promotion budgets and manage trade spending within approved limits.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and industry developments relevant to retail trade planning.
• Conduct competitor analysis to identify best practices and opportunities for differentiation.
• Utilize market research data and insights to make data-driven trade planning decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in trade planning, trade marketing, or retail management roles.
• Preferably within the retail industry.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with analyst tools eg Excel, Power BI, SQL.
