About this position

A Cybersecurity Engineer can perform complex assessments while maintaining the needs of both the main business and its subsidiary businesses. This position will work both independently and collaboratively to conduct security assessments, including vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, while identifying security requirements to uncover unknown risks and vulnerabilities within existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for web and mobile applications, traditional infrastructure, and cloud computing.
• Creates comprehensive assessment reports to clearly identify the root cause of vulnerabilities and associated remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with business units to complete projects and contributions.
• Actively continues technical skill education and development.
• Identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and associated security risks within business and technical requirements.
• Gives recommendations and best practices to deal with current and future threats within business and technical requirements.
• Reviews and revises reports written by team members on each project and presents the results of security assessments to each business unit.
• Leads projects and mentors team members as well as has the willingness to collaborate and share knowledge with them.
• Provide support in the ongoing development of security assessment offerings through tool creation and process improvement.
• Contact project manager or business owner (if needed) to gather information, clarify the scope, and estimate time and resources.
• Perform stand-alone vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or similar engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in a technical security position, penetration testing, or similar background.
• Certificate of SANS (GPEN, GWAPT, GMOB or GXPN) or Offensive Security Certifications (OSCP, OSWE, OSEP or OSED) or equivalent.
• Strong interest and ability in cybersecurity.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Rapid learning capability and ability to work under pressure.
• Cybersecurity analytical and problem-solving skills.
