CJ MORE, one of the most popular Thai retailers. To establish itself apart from competitors, CJ MORE would launch a new business in 2020 under the theme "More Than a Supermarket." Being more than simply a supermarket and convenience store to fulfill all of consumers' needs and differentiate from other peers in the same market with our strong store brands such as Nine Beauty, Bao Cafe, Uno and A-Home. The firm is moving forward and growing its own retail brand to better serve its consumer groups, with the goal of becoming a public company in the future. CJ MORE is a unique iteration of the typical supermarket, providing a wide variety of products and services and consumer goods at reasonable prices. The company has expanded substantially over the last 18 years. There are now more than 1000 branches operational in over 42 provinces nationwide.

About this position

The IT Strategy position involves overseeing IT department workflows, making strategic recommendations, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives while fostering collaboration and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Department Oversight: Regularly review and analyze the workflows, processes, and outputs of various IT departments to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
• Strategic Recommendation: Identify opportunities for process optimization, technology upgrades, and other improvements. Develop and present actionable recommendations to IT leadership and relevant stakeholders.
• Planning and Reporting: Create detailed plans and presentations that outline strategies for enhancing the IT department's performance, including timelines, milestones, and required resources.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with IT department heads and teams to understand challenges, gather feedback, and provide support in implementing strategic initiatives.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish and utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of implemented strategies, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
• Research and Innovation: Stay informed about emerging IT trends, technologies, and methodologies that could benefit the organization. Advocate for innovative solutions that support strategic goals.
• Change Management: Assist in managing the change process associated with the implementation of new technologies, processes, or structures within the IT department.
• Stakeholder Communication: Ensure clear, consistent communication with stakeholders at all levels regarding IT strategy plans, progress, and impacts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is required. An advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of overall work experience in the IT field, with at least 3 years in IT team management or leadership roles, demonstrating successful team development and project execution.
• Demonstrated experience in IT strategy formulation, planning, and execution, with a proven track record of improving IT operations and processes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex information, draw conclusions, and recommend practical solutions.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical audiences and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and lead through influence.
• In-depth knowledge of current IT trends and technologies, as well as best practices in IT management and strategic planning.
• Good in written and spoken English.
