CIMB Thai Bank Public Company Limited, previously known as Bank Thai Public Company Limited, was established in 1998 with the Financial Institutions Development Fund (FIDF) as the major shareholder. On 5 November 2008, CIMB Bank Berhad became the largest shareholder in Bank Thai and on 4 May 2009, the Bank completed the registration of its new name: "ธนาคาร ซีไอเอ็มบี ไทย จำกัด (มหาชน)" in Thai and "CIMB Thai Bank Public Company Limited" in English. This name change reflects the official transition of Bank Thai from being a single company to a member of CIMB Group.

About this position

The position involves summarizing and analyzing economic and financial market situations to provide valuable information to customers and bank staff, enabling timely recommendations and updates on significant developments.

Responsibilities

• Summarize and analyze economic and financial market situations in order to provide the information to customers and bank’s staffs, and enabling the Research to update economic and Financial market situation and providing timely recommendation in case of a significant development.
• Analyze and provide reports about macro-economic and financial market situation on outlook for exchange rate, interest rate and liquidity in the banking sector in order to create the business opportunities and reduce the business risks of the bank.
• Analyze and provide reports of risk profile of countries which have financial or other transactions with the bank.
• Provide information about the economic and financial market situation to enhance the business planning capability of the Bank and affiliations.
• Perform any other duties as and when assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of work experience of similar capacity.
• Competent in statistical program: Eview.
• Competent in financial/economic program: Bisnews/Reuters, CEIC and Bloomberg.
• Strong presentation skill and excellence in Microsoft Power Point.
• Excellence in spoken and written skills in Thai and English.
