About this position

The Quantity Surveyor (Office/Site Project) is responsible for cost estimation, contract management, and ensuring effective communication within the project team to manage project costs efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Cost Estimate for Bidding/Tender purposes
• Calculation and pricing for the BOQ, RAB and RAP.
• Preparation and follow up for the contract variations and claims.
• Make administration and calculations according to the needs of the Quantity Surveyor (QS) field
• Monitoring materials and construction cost.
• Prepare unit price and unit rates
• Coordinate with the project team and third parties to ensure smooth QS administration.
• Perform cost and budget analysis, and provide related reports to project management.
• Manage QS project documentation accurately and neatly
• and to perform any other entrusted & requested by management.

Requirements

• Hold minimum Bachelor’s degree, major in civil engineering/quantity surveying related field;
• At least 3 years of quantity surveying working experience.
• Good writing and speaking in English, fluent in Chinese is an advantage
• Basic knowledge on civil, road and building work, mechanical and electrical
• Good understanding of construction methods and types of materials
• Mastering knowledge regarding project cost calculations
• Familiar with engineering cost management and cost control process, knowing well about related policies and regulations.
• Strong personality, positive attitude and ability to work efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines
• Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skill
• Willing to be placed in Office or Project site office
