QA Lead
About this position
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement test plans to ensure thorough testing of all game features, covering functionality, performance, and usability across platforms.
• Track and report bugs ensuring issues are properly documented, communicated, and resolved before release.
• Lead and grow the QA team to align with product goals while serving as the primary contact for all QA matters.
• Define testing scope and benchmarks by selecting appropriate tools and setting quality standards to guide the testing process.
• Coordinate and monitor testing phases including functional, performance, integration, and regression testing.
• Collaborate with the development team to identify, document, and resolve issues.
• Optimize QA processes by refining testing methodologies to improve overall efficiency.
• Manage quality risks by identifying potential issues early and ensuring consistent quality.
• Facilitate clear QA reporting to keep all departments updated on testing outcomes and potential concerns.
• Approve final QA by verifying all game aspects meet our standards before release.
Requirements
• 5+ Years of experience in QA at a gaming studio.
• Proven QA leadership experience in leading and mentoring QA teams.
• In-depth knowledge of QA processes including test planning, execution, and optimization.
• Experienced in bug tracking with a focus on clear documentation and effective communication.
• Proficient in testing tools and familiar with methodologies and platforms relevant to game development.
• Strong problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration across teams.
• Detail-oriented and analytical with a focus on identifying and addressing potential issues.
• Adaptable and resilient in managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
