Supply Planning Associate/Manager
About this position
The Supply Planning Associate/Manager is responsible for creating finished goods plans, collaborating with cross-functional partners, and managing inventory to support customer orders and forecasted demand.
Responsibilities
• From Consensus Demand Plan, create finished goods plan to support customer orders, forecasted demand & inventory stocking requirements.
• Collaborates with cross functional partners (Replenishment, Plant and Logistics) to ensure inventory is managed according to constraints and targets that are aligned with the business strategy.
• Actively interacts with demand management, manufacturing, quality, warehousing & transportation to solve finished goods issues and deviated consumption patterns.
• Responsible for long-term capacity status, weekly category KPI updates, product shortage reporting & ad-hoc daily information flow amongst supply planning partners (Demand Planning, Customer Service, Logistics, Plant, Sales, and Customer).
• Identifies possible finished goods shortages against inventory plans and develops action items.
• Raise QI and overstock issue to solve with related parties.
• Establishes critical inventory parameters for target & safety Stock settings for finished goods, while considering supply lead time, warehouse and transportation constraints.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, business management, logistics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience working in logistics or supply chain management.
• Practical knowledge of production planning, logistics and inventory management.
• Ability to identify, anticipate, negotiate supply commitment from each plant and vendor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to focus on numbers for long period.
• Sound judgment using available data to analyze and present detailed inventory reports.
