Product Development Engineer
About this position
The Product Development Engineer is responsible for managing the technical status of mass-produced vehicles and parts, overseeing technical documentation, and ensuring effective communication between R&D and production teams.
Responsibilities
• Manage technical status of mass-produced vehicles and part, the organization of technical notices and technical documents in the factory, and the management of technical documents.
• Responsible for the technical status management of mass-produced vehicles, responsible for completing the preparation and management of MBOM based on the EBOM input of the R&D team and taking measures and solutions to product EBOM issues and product status issues.
• New model vehicle technical status management, responsible for the docking of new model trial production and R&D, in accordance with Changan new product launch process, carry out PD sector notification issuance, status training, material status confirmation, trial production management and control of Legacy changes to LS nodes before the festival, etc.
• Control factory-side part status, ECR/ECN management, and organizational change implementation.
• Responsible for product data management and product structure tree management in the Thai market, as well as the docking of KD parts and components domestically.
Requirements
• Education requirement: Full-time undergraduate degree or above is preferred.
• Major requirement: Related majors such as vehicle engineering, automotive electronics, material forming and control engineering, mechanical design and automation, etc.
• More than 4 year of relevant work experience required. Specific in chassis and powertrain community.
• Familiar with the relevant operational requirement for BOM and design changes and have the ability to control product structure and ECC.
• Familiar with design change management and factory-side implementation organizational capabilities.
• Familiar with the technical requirement and design standard of the responsible subsystems and component.
• Familiar with the structural design, raw material requirement, and performance requirements of automotive products.
• Proficient in the application of quality improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 8D, QCM, etc.
• Strong language expression and team collaboration skill, strong sense of responsibility, and good at solving problems using new working methods.
