Incoming Quality Engineer
About this position
The Incoming Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming parts and components, coordinating inspections, and addressing quality issues to maintain high standards in vehicle production.
Responsibilities
• Organize compliance inspections of new product parts, prepare parts inspection specifications, and force suppliers to quickly improve physical quality through the non-conforming product disposal process.
• Formulate an annual control plan and an annual test plan for parts and components, implement inspections and conduct test verification according to the plan.
• Coordinate the analysis and verification of technical quality issues arising during the production of vehicle parts. Develop temporary measures to sustain smooth operation of the production line, while also validating the effectiveness of rectification actions taken to address these part-related challenges.
• Lead and execute precision testing for parts quality, continuously monitor consistency, and analyze data to enhance accuracy and consistency. This ensures the stability of vehicle body-in-white precision, affirming our commitment to superior part quality.
• Implement the confirmation and processing of parts quality failures, record the information in the quality information system, and evaluate the quality performance of supplier parts; at the same time, implement quality claims for losses caused by quality defects in supplier parts.
• Promptly verify, analyze, and initiate controls based on parts quality issues identified during vehicle audits and backend quality evaluations. This proactive approach aims to enhance overall vehicle quality, minimizing customer complaints effectively.
Requirements
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in automotive industrial Quality Engineer, preferably in incoming parts quality control.
• Knowledgeable in quality standards (IATF 16949:2016 & ISO9001).
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in quality claims and supplier performance evaluations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Can communicate in English and Thai; Chinese proficiency is a plus.
