Sustainability Manager
About this position
Responsibilities
• The Sustainability Manager is responsible for company’s effort and project on “CSV - Creating Shared Value” including all aspects of CSR concepts and implementation.
• Support to mainly work on food sustainability policy implementation.
• Initiate waste management, society & community development programs consisting: Jing Jai Farmers’ project, food surplus donation, anti-food waste and shrinkage reduction, plastic reduction and circular economy, and Green project.
• Illustrate and prepare comprehensive view on information related to SD topics to be included in project proposal and manage campaign result evaluation.
• Manage Community Development program, CSR and other social contribution and donation projects including take an ownership on acquiring and retaining potential group of beneficiaries.
• Provide a good collaboration with other function; merchandise, buyers, quality assurance, local sourcing, marketing, asset management and store operations including Central Tham and other business units under Central Group to implement and run co-creation campaign related sustainable development.
• Initiate message and narratives to communicate company’s success stories on CSV, CSR and sustainability development.
• Work on-site to drive community development and SD projects in all strategic locations as assigned by Head of Sustainability.
• Support to engage and acquire results from different functions to ensure data collection of CRC’s sustainability reporting in DJSI, THSI and global standard on United Nation SDGs alignments.
• Be a key representative in dealing and maintaining relations with local communities and governmental authorities, NGOs, foundations and group of social movement and influencers towards collaboration on sustainability, CSR or co-creation projects.
• Coach and develop works and outcomes dedicated by Sustainability specialists to answer target expected by Sustainability departments and company.
• Execute on communications and content creation to promote Sustainability’s project and success stories through different media landscapes.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Sustainability, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience as a Sustainability Manager, or similar role with 3-5 years in sustainability, CSV or CSR.
• Strong understanding of Sustainability concepts.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders and relationship management.
• High level of integrity and ethical standards, with a commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
