About this position

Senior Data Analyst in D&A will lead & deliver projects of Data, Reporting, Visualization & Advanced Analytics as assigned by the Team Manager. In addition, this role is expected to be an expert in delivering decision science solutions in domains like Marketing/Consumer Analytics, Financial Analytics & Fraud Analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and drive projects and/or implement cross-department initiatives and support 2 to 3 key projects at a given time.
• Break down complex business problems into simpler pieces, prioritize and present information in easily digestible manner to business teams.
• Act as a data advocate and get buy-in from Sr management teams on proposed solutions. Create a compelling business case and propose best BI/analytics solution.
• Analyze data to answer key questions with an eye for what drives business.
• Follow agreed processes to deliver outcomes efficiently & within agreed SLAs with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Develop, maintain, and review the requirements, design and testing documentation.
• Adhere to Data Governance as data auditor for reports/dashboards, analytics, insights and data quality.
• Deliver on assigned monetary value targets (Revenue / Costs / Cash Flows) by driving implementation of BI & Analytics solutions in supported business areas.
• Embody the – D&A culture and strive to constantly work towards creating a better D&A brand within the company.
• Coach junior team members to help them ramp-up into the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, e.g. computer science, mathematics, physics or economics.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Science or comparable fields.
• Experience in retail, e-commerce, digital business industry will be an added advantage.
• Strong experience with SQL, bigquery, store procedures, dbt, Python/R and other languages/technologies for performing complex data modelling and analysis.
• Expert in visualization tools (Power BI).
• Strong experience with cloud data platform ( GCP).
• Familiarity with mathematical and statistical data analysis techniques (such as regression, extrapolation, time series analysis, forecasting, statistical hypothesis testing and econometric models).
• You are enthusiastic, innovative, with an analytical mind, a 'can do' attitude and capable of using data to tell stories.
• Good and versatile communication and presentation skills (technical vs business vs layman vs C-level).
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and balance competing priorities.
