Quantity Surveyor – Urgent!
About this position
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing costs associated with construction projects, including preparing bills of quantities, negotiating prices, and ensuring budget control.
Responsibilities
• Perform quantity take-off and measurements for tenders.
• Coordinating with and contacting suppliers and contractors.
• Understanding and preparing a bill of BOQ (cost, budget, and material used in construction).
• Comparing prices and analyzing construction prices and estimating costs.
• Being a procurement and construction costs consultant.
• Handling all the costs associated with construction, interior, and project work (Budget and cost control).
• Negotiating and adjusting the price base for the workload to be in line with the standard.
• Supervising and reviewing the cost estimate and budget of the project, construction plan, and construction standards.
• Handling other duties as assigned.
• Check and manage prices, additional work – reduce work.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in engineering in related fields.
• 1-3 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the interior, architecture & structure.
• Strong understanding of the interior work.
• Good command of English (speaking and writing) (would be a plus).
• Excellent estimating skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and track spending.
• Ability to identify and manage cost risks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Work under pressure and limited time, tight deadlines.
