About this position
The Product Designer & Planning Division Manager is responsible for leading the development of creative concepts for the private label brand, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and overseeing the product development process from concept to launch.
Responsibilities
• Lead the development of creative concepts for our private label brand, including style, color, and materials, in line with market trends and brand identity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop seasonal product concepts and strategic plans for the private label brand.
• Partner with the Technical Advisor, Merchandising team, and suppliers to ensure that product designs meet quality standards and cost parameters.
• Oversee the product development process from concept to launch, ensuring timely execution and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, design efficiency, and time-to-market.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the product design and planning team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align product designs with brand objectives and customer needs.
• Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to evaluate the success of product design and planning initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product design and planning.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in related field and 1-3 years of team management.
• Strong creative vision and design expertise, with the ability to translate trends into innovative product concepts.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and product lifecycle management (PLM) software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
• Passion for sports and a deep understanding of consumer preferences and market dynamics.
