Responsibilities
• Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies that support the company’s long-term business objectives.
• Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on public relations issues and media relations.
• Ensure alignment of PR activities with overall marketing and business strategies.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, industry influencers, and stakeholders.
• Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
• Lead efforts to secure media coverage in top-tier outlets, trade publications, and digital platforms.
• Develop and implement crisis communication plans to safeguard the company’s reputation during potential crises.
• Serve as the primary spokesperson during critical situations, ensuring clear, consistent, and accurate communication.
• Monitor and manage public perception and proactively address potential issues before they escalate.
• Oversee the development of high-quality content for press releases, speeches, bylined articles, and social media.
• Ensure messaging is consistent across all channels and aligns with the company’s brand and values.
• Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling stories that resonate with target audiences.
• Lead the planning and execution of high-profile events, including product launches, trade shows, and press conferences.
• Manage PR campaigns from concept to completion, ensuring all activities are delivered on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with marketing, sales, and other departments to maximize the impact of PR campaigns.
• Manage and mentor a team of PR professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them achieve their goals.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the development and execution of training programs to enhance the skills of the PR team.
• Track, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of PR campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and ensure continuous improvement in PR efforts.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management on PR activities, media coverage, and industry trends.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in public relations, with at least 3 years in a senior management role, preferably within the trading or financial services industry.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful PR strategies that align with business objectives.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team of PR professionals.
• Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing high-profile media relations and crisis communications.
