About this position

The Head of Marketplace Content & Technology is responsible for managing and contributing to the development of E-Commerce strategy, overseeing website operations projects, and collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize system capabilities and enhance the online shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and contribute to the development of E-Commerce strategy, design, development, testing, and supporting the subsequent implementation through a detailed roadmap and timeline planning for website operations projects including partnering with business, tech stakeholders and all related functions to determine their goals and requirements in order to create strategic website operations and product roadmaps
• Collaborate with the project owners to create mutual understanding on each project expectations and ensure the alignment of efficiency and productivity optimization of system capabilities, requirements, project and timeline
• Work closely with tech office (Product owners, Project Managers, QAs etc.) to design, develop, test, and deploy enhancements for the website including participate in defining and establishing agile processes, standards and best practices
• Work with the non-technical team members to envision a clear, high-level technical solution that meets business and experience goals, without undue technical complexity
• Gather sales promotion from commercial teams and work with Tech office to deliver updated the promotions on website ensuring no other
• Optimize the website and ensure local online shopping preferences are satisfied and reflected in product offering
• Identify, size and prioritize increments of work to be targeted for each iteration
• Develop relevant artifacts for communication, direction, delivery, quality, and solutions including communicating the project status, readiness, issues and risks to management & stakeholders
• Stay updated on industry trends and provides insights and recommendations into roadmap development
• Enable the development and oversight of product release schedule for all of the applications in the e-commerce space

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer engineering, computer science, MIS or related fields
• 5-8 years of progressively responsible experience in ecommerce website development or IT product management.
• Preferable experience in managing marketplace seller operations/seller portal platforms in ecommerce.
• Minimum of 2 years of team management experience
