Head of Data Engineer & Architecture
About this position
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage a team of data scientists, and engineers, providing technical guidance, coaching, and feedback.
• Design, develop, and deploy data pipelines, platforms, and products that support the data needs of various projects and initiatives.
• Apply advanced analytical techniques and machine learning algorithms to extract insights and generate value from data.
• Conduct feasibility assessments to evaluate the potential impact of Data & AI solutions. Translate the benefits into financial KPIs and develop business case to represent ROI.
• Prepare high quality management presentations to communicate and present data findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and compelling way.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in data science and advanced analytics.
Requirements
• Overall 12+ Years of experience in IT/Digital Industry.
• At least 8+ years of hands on experience in data science and advanced analytics, with a proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions.
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• Excellent working knowledge of statistics, mathematics, machine learning, deep learning or other advanced techniques to solve complex business problems.
• High proficiency in coding including Python and SQL.
• Excellent working knowledge in building and deploying data pipelines, platforms, and products using cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Deliver on assigned monetary value targets (Revenue / Costs / Cash Flows) by driving implementation of Data & AI solutions in supported business areas.
• Ability to multitask and balance competing priorities.
• Ability to create a collaborative working environment for team members.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in both English & Thai.
• Domain Knowledge of one or more divisions in Retail.
• Published papers or given talks in Data Science Forums.
• Hold data science related patents.
• Experience with data warehouse platforms.
