About this position

The Event & Local Marketing position at Muji involves planning and executing local merchandising, managing community markets, organizing events and workshops, creating local connections, proposing new business ideas, and reporting on activities and sales.

Responsibilities

• To maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local party are doing.
• Base on understanding MUJI philosophy, to consider what kind item of leak in local life. Then proceed project to create local merchandising with MD.
• To be responsible to meet local activity, productivity and quality goals in assigned area.
• To make merchandising plan with MKT and VMD in order to deliver concept of local item through sales floor and advertisement.
• To cooperate to proceed project with store manager in order to launch new local merchandising.
• To coordinate plan and content of community market and contact landlord to execute the market.
• To connect and recruit suppliers and artists who understand MUJI's concept and philosophy, introduce their activities, and provide customers with item and things that MUJI cannot deliver.
• To contact local supplier and coordinate workshop plan, several event with them which have same concept and vision as MUJI.
• To make event and workshop at least once a month and make primary schedule for the event and workshop plan annually.
• To manage individual information of supplier by following company’s standard and policies in an effective.
• To find local party, supplier and artists according to the agreed criteria, ie creditability, proof of works, idea and ethic etc.
• To create new business not only retail topic but also other point of view. ( Ex, Furniture repair business, Rental cycle business ).
• Expand the good practical activity and local products in storewide by discussing with related dept, such Mkt, Md, Op etc.
• To report community market sales, no of customer result as effect of community market at weekly meeting.
• To report monthly activity result at SRM meeting.
• To propose new local merchandising plan and new business plan by quarterly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of responsible experience in CSR / Corporate PR / Event Marketing or related fields.
• Great understanding of OTOP products such as (Food/Beverage/Apparatus & Decoration/Fabric & Apparel).
• Good English skills.
• Strong interpersonal and coordination skills.
