About this position
The Buyer - FMCG position involves analyzing data to support buying and merchandising strategies, developing product management systems, and maintaining supplier relationships to achieve profitability and align with market needs.
Responsibilities
• Analyze important data to support setting up policies, plans, directions, and market positions for overall buying and merchandising to manage up-to-date and align with market need and target group.
• Set up strategies for products development and management, along with standard for product selection, pricing, gross sales, sale areas, product examination, and sales promotion, to develop product management following international standard, differentiate products from opponents, develop acceptable price, and achieve highest profitability.
• Plan to build and maintain relationship with top suppliers to develop and maintain business benefit and create alignment in buying and merchandising effectively.
• Evaluate market trend and opponent situation, including analyzing target information and competitive situation to set up strategies for management and development of products, and buying and merchandising effectively.
• Develop and improve product management system to ensure effective operations aligning with organization need and current situation.
• Follow up and monitor the analysis of gross sales to achieve divisional goal.
• Monitor overall shelf organizing, presenting, and visual merchandising aligning with store image to create alignment in presenting products and attract target group.
• Coordinate with related functions to ensure effective operations.
• Take care and advise subordinates to ensure effective performance and promotion preparation.
Requirements
• Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, Economics, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum of 1-6 years of responsible experience in related field.
• Have strong knowledge in business trends, market conditions, and product under responsibilities.
